Choose the kind of sorting

Ball Sort groups patterned beads into matching vessels. Organizing moves whole objects and uses their shapes or a visible grouping rule. Choose an action above to compare their controls and open a real practice board. These free sorting games keep independent boards, so you can try both kinds of move.

Top beads or whole objects

A bead can move only from the top of its vessel and must land on a matching type or an empty space. In the packing board, an object can turn and occupy several cells. Empty space matters in both games, but it follows different rules.

Keep the two boards separate

Switching between these sorting games preserves each board’s own progress while its session remains available. Expand a board for more room. The information button belongs to its header, with the controls for that particular game.

More ways to organize

The Organizing page also offers labelled groups and height-ordered shelves. These are separate tasks, rather than names for the same bead board. Practice needs a connection and does not award resources in Edgekin.
