Plan one move beyond the obvious

In the example, both destinations accept the flower. Moving it onto a matching flower keeps D empty. Moving it into D uses that space, so the wave from C cannot go there next. This does not prove the whole puzzle is lost: moving the flower to B frees D again.

Puzzle strategy games with visible consequences

Ball Sort makes the top bead and the receiving vessel matter. Block puzzle makes the next shape and the empty cells matter. Choose which consequence you want to practise, then use the real board below.

Keep room for the next shape

In Block puzzle, check the remaining supplied pieces before filling a gap. Completing a row or column clears space. A placement that leaves only scattered single cells may make a longer shape harder to use.

Choose a puzzle rather than a battle

These strategy puzzle games focus on planning within small puzzle rules. They do not include armies, base building or turn-based combat. For rotation and reflection rather than move order, try Spatial.
